DANIEL BOONE'S CABIN
Daniel Boone’s last home in Kentucky was here in Nicholas County where Wendt’s Wildlife is today. The famed pioneer and his son built the log cabin in 1795 where they, along with Boone’s wife & family lived until they left for Missouri in 1799.
The cabin has undergone much restoration in the last few years due to the efforts of Nicholas County Tourism. It is their desire to preserve the history and legacy of Daniel Boone here in Nicholas County, and for people to visit and learn about Boone for many years to come.
The cabin site is FREE to visit. Donations are greatly appreciated.
Don't miss this opportunity to experience an important part of Kentucky's history while you're on your visit to WWA!
